If you make a booking or create a listing with us, we collect the personal information you provide to us such as your billing and payment information. If you contact our customer services agents, you may also provide us with personal information that we collect.

1.3 Information about Your Transactions with us: When you book an accommodation, we collect all of your order information, such as the type of accommodation you booked and the costs of the accommodation.

2. Using Your Personal Information
Personal Data about our customers is an important part of our business and we shall only use your personal data for the following purposes and shall not keep such personal data longer than is necessary to fulfil these purposes:

To help us identify you when you contact us.
To help us identify accounts and services which you could have from us from time to time.
Enable us operate, protect, improve, and optimize Mycampusagent by carrying out marketing analysis and customer profiling (including transactional information), conduct research, including creating statistical and testing information.
Personalize or otherwise customize your experience by, among other things, ranking search results or showing ads based on your search, booking history, and preferences.

Verify or authenticate information or identifications provided by you (such as to verify your Accommodation address or compare your identification photo to another photo you provide).
To help us to administer and to contact you about improved administration of any accounts, listings and booking services we have provided in the past.

To allow us to contact you in any way (including e-mail, telephone, visit, and text or social media messages) about services offered by us unless you have previously asked us not to do so.

3. Disclosures
To help facilitate bookings, we may share your information with other Members as follows:

3.1 When you as a Subscriber submits a booking request, certain information about you is shared with the Partner, including your full name, your cancellation history, and other information you agree to share. When your booking is confirmed, we will disclose additional information to assist with coordinating the booking, like your phone number, the booking, such as your full name, phone number, and Accommodation address.

3.2 When you as a Partner have a confirmed booking, certain information is shared with the Subscriber to coordinate

3.4 Profiles, Listings, and other Public Information.

3.4.1 myCampusAgent allows you publish information that is visible to the general public. For example: Parts of your public profile page, such as your first name, your bio, and City, are publicly visible to other users.

3.4.2 Public Listing pages are publicly visible and include information such as the Accommodation’s approximate location (neighbourhood and city), Listing description, calendar availability, the Partner’s public profile photo, aggregated demand information (like page views over a period of time), and any additional information the Partner chooses to share.

3.4.3 After completing a booking, Subscribers and Partners may write reviews and rate each other. Reviews are a part of your public profile page.

3.4.4 If you submit content in a public forum or social media post, or use a similar feature on MyCampusAgent, that content is publicly visible.

3.5 Required by Law

We may disclose Personally Identifiable Information if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to (a) conform with the requirements of the law or comply with legal process served on us, or (b) act in urgent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of our service or members of the public. To the extent practicable and legally permitted, we will attempt to advise you prior to any such disclosure, so that you may seek a protective order or other relief limiting such disclosure.

4. Communications from our Site
Pursuant to you registering on our site, you will receive emails that confirm specific actions you requested. You will receive notifications confirming your registration, the successful verification of email addresses and bank accounts, if required, and confirmation of successful bookings. You will also receive progress updates on the status of your booking requests. These are transactional notifications that you cannot opt out of receiving, as they are in place to protect the security of your account and your personal information. We may also send you responses to emails you send us, if appropriate or applicable. From time to time, we will also send user surveys, requests for user feedback regarding user experience and site operations or marketing offers from us or from us on behalf of our marketing partners. If you do not wish to receive these offers, surveys or user feedback emails, please opt out in any offer email you receive from us.

myCampusAgent is statutory obligated to retain the data you provide us with in order to process transactions, ensure settlements, make refunds, identify fraud and in compliance with laws and regulatory guidelines applicable to us, our banking providers and credit card processors.

Therefore, even after closing your myCampusAgent account, we will retain certain data to comply with these obligations.
